Ruth Ann Flowers

Ruth Ann “Posey” Flowers, 70, of Fletcher, Ohio, formerly of Somerset, Ohio, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Dayton, Ohio. Ruth Ann was born February 16, 1947 in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph L. and E. Lucille Rockey Flowers. She was a 1965 graduate of Sheridan High School and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She had been a Nurses Aide at Good Samaritan Hospital, a line operator tapper for Essex Wire, an offset printer for Russett Printing in Zanesville and Southworth Printing in Columbus and had worked for Sipe’s Small Animal Farm. She is survived by a brother, James (Jan) Flowers of Somerset; two sisters-in-law, Donna (Al) Sealover and Paula Flowers, both of Somerset; a brother-in-law, Mark Peters of Gahanna; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William Joseph Flowers and David L. Flowers; a sister, Betty Peters; and her aunt and uncle, Charles and Evelyn Flowers. Memorial calling hours will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church where a memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Mr. Gene Dawson officiating. Ruth Ann was cremated at her request and there will be a burial at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross or the Miami County Humane Society.
