Wilma P. Bauserman, 87, of Marysville, died Tuesday morning, August 3, 2021 at Brookdale Senior Living in Marysville, Ohio. She was formerly of Mt. Perry, Ohio and moved to Marysville, in recent years, to be near her family. She was a graduate of Somerset High School.
Wilma’s life was devoted to caring for her husband, sons, their families and extended family. She faithfully served churches and supported her husband, Rev. Ralph E. Bauserman, in their ministries while serving United Methodist Churches in the Waterford Charge, Croton, Heath, Marysville and Reynoldsburg. In her later years, she was an active member of the Somerset United Methodist Church.
Wilma was born November 15, 1933 in Perry County to the late Everett D. and Mildred I. Hammer Brown. She married Ralph E. Bauserman on July 9, 1955, at the Zion Methodist Church in Perry County. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2009, after 54 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Rosalie and Edsel Noyes; and a sister-in-law, Rita Bell.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Clay and Tami Bauserman of Marysville and Chris and Sherri Bauserman of Delaware; grandchildren, Grant (Airaka) Bauserman and their daughter Anderson of Marysville, Laura Beth Bauserman and her fiance’ Brandon Brake of Marysville, Rachel Bauserman of Nagoya, Japan, Luke (Maddy) Bauserman and their sons Wyatt and Shane of Boise, Idaho, Rebecca (Zach) Nappi and their daughter Ava of Hilliard; 5 nephews and 1 niece.
Wilma’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Marysville First United Methodist Church, 207 S. Court St., Marysville, Ohio with the family greeting friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Mills Lounge. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary with the Rev. Nathan Custer officiating. The family will continue to greet friends immediately following the service at a reception in the church’s Burnside Family Life Center. In Wilma’s memory, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) or the Central Ohio Alzheimer’s Association in care of Ingram Funeral Home, 975 N. Maple St., Marysville, Ohio 43040, who is completing the arrangements. Contribution cards will also be available at the church on the day of services.
