William H. Johnson, 62, of Somerset, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at home with his family by his side. William was born December 21, 1961, in Somerset, Ohio, the son of the late George D.R. and Frances Johnson. He was a lifelong resident of Perry County. He is survived by two sons, Benjamin Johnson of Somerset, Brandon Johnson of Athens; one daughter Olivia (Dustin) Eppley of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Hadley, Harper and Henry, Noah, Rylee, Eli, Thea, Juniper, and Phineas; five brothers, James (Elaine) Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Mark (Annette) Johnson, Phillip (Tonya) Johnson, and Frank (Connie Mayle) Johnson; six sisters, Barbara Hetrick, Mary (Doug) Wolfe, Linda (Merle) Smart, Janet (Roger) Kirkbride, Gloria (Mike) Miller, and Lois (Kenneth) Reichley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert E. and David R. Johnson; a brother in-law, Jerry Hetrick; and niece, Ashlee Miller. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father André Joseph LaCasse, O.P. as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
