William Henry “Bill” Bope, 53, of Rushville, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his residence. Bill was born September 11, 1968, in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of the late William J. and Mae J. (Winkler) Bope. He was a 1987 graduate of Fairfield Union High School and was employed at Glasfloss in Lancaster. Bill was an avid fisherman and loved golfing, the outdoors, all Cleveland sports, and spending time with his grandchildren. He especially loved the horse racing at the Fairfield County Fair. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Tresha D. (Hite) Bope; one daughter, Ashley (Tel) Dearlove of Rushville; two grandchildren, Evelyn and Brooks Dearlove; one sister, Julie (Tim) Stanley of Pataskala; four nieces and nephews, Courtney, Colin, Jessica, and Josh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert J. Bope. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, in West Rushville Cemetery, 7799 Main St., Rushville, Ohio, with the Rev.
