William Kim Black, 72, of Somerset, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at his residence. Kim was born January 25, 1951 in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Perry and Annabelle (Price) Black. Kim loved spending time with his family and working on his 63½ Ford Galaxy. He also loved being outdoors and was very passionate about his Native American heritage and using this to teach different groups of people throughout the community about Eastern Woodland Culture. Kim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sherry (Swartz) Black; children, Matt (Brandie) Black, Gabe (Jodi) Black and Kimmie (Rich) Kimble; grandchildren, Kaelyn Black, Kolton Black, Max Emmert and Austin Emmert; a brother, Jim (JoAnn) Black; and two sisters, Darlean (Paul) Harden and Rita Harden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dave and Roger Alexander.
