Virginia L. (Skinner) Bare

Virginia L. Bare, 91, of Somerset, formerly of Glenford, Ohio, passed away at Middleton Senior Living on Thursday, September 4, 2025. Virginia was born on November 1, 1933, in Glenford, Ohio, to the late Kenneth J. Sr. and Thelma L. (Mooney) Skinner. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Don) Flask; grandchildren, Jessica (Steve) Gould, Jordan (Steve) Russell, Bailey (Tom) Kapfer, and Brandon Flask; great-grandchildren, Connor, Evan, Regan, Drew, Landon, Laynie, Logan, Lincoln, Julian, Marco, and Clara; her brother, John (Vesta) Skinner; and nieces, Beverly (Jim) Bright, Toni (Jim) Stepanek and Nicole (Doug) Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Jack Bare; her son, Brent Bare; a niece, Stephanie Miller; and her beloved dog, Lexi. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 127 Mill St., Glenford, Ohio where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Beth Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family thanks Middleton Senior Living for their loving and devoted care of Virginia for the past 13 months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
