Viola Jane “Janie” Williams, 72, of Somerset, passed away at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, September 5, 2020 at her residence following a fight with cancer. Janie was born January 31, 1948 in Weston, WV, the daughter of the late Willard J. and Addie Woodsin Grant. She practiced the Jewish Faith and taught her grandchildren. She had been a home health aide for many years. Janie loved to crochet, work in the garden and hunt mushrooms. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Mark D. Williams of Somerset; three sons, Carl Goslin, Willard Goslin, and Daniel Isaac Williams; grandchildren, Jodie, Cheyanne, Kaitlyn, Makayla, Gary, Dominic and Christopher Goslin; one sister, Alicia and Billy Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Grant and three sisters, Patty, Helen and Louise. There will be a caring cremation at Janie’s request with a celebration to be held at a later date.
