Thomas Evans "Tom" Kaffenberger

Thomas Evans “Tom” Kaffenberger, 83, of Somerset, passed away at 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Grant Medical Center. Tom was born October 1, 1938, in Glenford, Ohio, the son of the late Byron C. and D. Jean (Leckrone) Kaffenberger. He was a graduate of Glenford High School, an Army veteran, and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford. Tom retired from Owen’s Corning Fiberglass in Newark after 32 years of service. He loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Lynda L. (Willford) Kaffenberger; one daughter, Keena (Mark) Eltringham of New Lexington; one son, Blane (Jackie) Kaffenberger of Hilliard; three grandchildren, Tanner Eltringham and Sydney and Hayden Kaffenberger; one brother, Andy (Jan) Kaffenberger; five sisters, Sue Fuller, Lynn (Andy) Helser, Kathy (Dave) Bell, Nan (Doug) Rhodes and Lisa (Joe) Dennison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy O’Reilly and a brother-in-law, Donnie Fuller. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Somerset Cemetery with Pastor David Helser officiating.
