Terry Alan Gordon, 72, of Rushville, Ohio, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2022, at FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care in Lancaster, Ohio. Terry was born January 1, 1950, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Gerald D. Gordon and Barbara Joanne (Blythe) Aycock. He was a Vietnam era Marine Corp veteran, serving from 1968-1974, receiving the Purple Heart Medal as well as several other medals. He was a member of River Valley Life Center in Lancaster and was active in the Ropheka Prison Ministry for several years starting in 2014. He loved his Lord Jesus and wanted to share it with everyone he met, especially his family. Terry is survived by his wife of 13 short years, Vickie L. (McClary) Gordon of the home; one stepdaughter, Jessica (Karl) Ewert; one stepson, Jason (Nicole) Howard; grandchildren, Cassandra and Kyle Gombos and Rollins Howard; two stepsisters, Debbie (Andrew) Eades and Donna (Bill) Rennunger; and one step sister-in-law, Tina Aycock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn; a brother, Danny; and a stepbrother, Bill Aycock. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2022, at River Valley Life Center, 2190 Coonpath Rd. NW, Lancaster, Ohio with Pastor Paul Bishop officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ropheka Prison Ministry through the River Valley Life Center.
