Steve Lewis Large

Steve Lewis Large, 62, of Somerset, passed away at 1:41 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Genesis ER in Somerset. Steve was born July 19, 1960, to the late Mary (Stover) Rollins and James A. Large. He attended Sheridan High School and Vocational School in Zanesville where he graduated in 1979. This man loved to hunt and couldn’t wait for deer season. He taught his kids, both daughter and son, never hesitating to teach them both everything, from hunting, camping, plumbing and just wisdom. He was so proud of his kids and their spouses, and what they accomplished he did not hesitate to brag about. Steve was a man that may not have had much, but always tried to make sure his family was loved, and that they knew it, close family and all. He was married in 1982 to Tina (Meredith) Large and they had two children, Brandon (Sarah) Large and Stevi (Christian) Gruber. He also had a daughter, Ginn Cordray. He had six amazing grandkids who he was so proud of, Brayden Large, Karsen Large, Camren Large, Landon Gruber, Miss “Emmi” Gruber and last but not least, Knox Gruber. He had two surviving brothers, Stewart Large and Scott Large, and a brother-in-law, Gary Browning, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family. If he loved you, you knew it! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Valorie (Large) Browning, and his brother, Sam Large. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the Somerset Church of Christ, 314 N. Market St., Somerset, Ohio with services to be held at 12:00 p.m. with Scott Pfettscher and Mike Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
