Stephen Charles Richter

Charles Stephen Richter of Newark peacefully passed away on April 4, 2026, after a brief illness. Stephen was born to Helen and Charles Richter on January 3, 1946. He graduated from Sheridan High School in the class of 1964. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from The Ohio State University and a Master’s from Ohio University. He retired from The Trane Air Conditioning Corporation, Vidalia, Georgia in 2015. He returned to Newark, Ohio in 2016 after the death of his wife, Beverly. He lived quietly with his beloved dog, Skipper, and beloved cat, Bobbie. During the last few years, he became an active volunteer for the Hopewell Madison Food Pantry which he thoroughly enjoyed. Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Richter, and his wife, Beverly Richter. He is survived by his son, Grant (Allison) and granddaughter, Charisma, sister, Michele (Jude) Antonini and nephews Josh (Hilary) Antonini and Shad Antonini and niece, Cody (Ricky) Nichols and 9 great nieces and nephews. Celebration of life will be held on May 23rd, 2026, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 14767 Sand Rock Road, Glenford, Ohio 43739. Funeral services at 11 am with calling an hour prior at 10 am All are welcome to stay and join the family for a luncheon afterwards.
