Samuel Alton Large, 65, loving father, brother, papal, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, after fighting an off handed aggressive cancer diagnosis. Samuel was born July 5, 1957, to Mary Agnes Stover-Large and James Alton Large. Samuel graduated from Sheridan High School in 1975. He spent 35+ years working hard in the factory seven days a week. He enjoyed black coffee all day long, Pall Malls, OLD Milwaukee’s, and reading Louis L’ Amour in his free time. Samuel was preceded in death by his mother, Mary A. Stover-Large; his sister, Valorie M. Browning; and his first wife, Glenda Large. He is survived by his six children, Carmen L. Large, Christy Large (Patrick Fernandez), Cory (Kaylee) Large, estranged- Riane (Samuel) Wade, Blake (Amanda) Gordon and Gabrielle (Wyatt) Letki; his father, James A. Large; brothers, Steve (Tina) Large, Stewart Large and Scott Large; as well as his aunt, Catherine L. Harvey; brother-in-law, Gary Browning; multiple cousins, nieces and nephews; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A private memorial service will be set at a later date for family and friends.
