Sally Jo Wyrick, 92, of Junction City, passed away at 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her residence.
Sally was born February 10, 1930, in Junction City, the daughter of the late Roy and Thelma (Colborn) Griffith. She was a member of New Lebanon Lutheran Church and a graduate of Junction City High School and Ohio University. Sally was a business owner and operator of rental properties. She was a woman of many talents. She could build or do anything such as, carpentry, auto mechanics, school bus driver, and public school teacher, teaching 7th grade math. Sally was a wonderful cook and made the best apple pie. She was a staple of Junction City.
She is survived by her son, Jerry L. Wyrick of Junction City; two grandchildren, Ryan and Tia; three great-grandchildren, Alyus, Abel, and Sloane; a daughter-in-law, Myrna Wyrick; a sister, Georgianne (Griffith) Wilson of Crooksville; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Oscar Wyrick; a son, Alan Earl Wyrick; and a sister, Betty Lynn Long.
A private graveside service will be held. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
