Rose “Rosie” (Carney) Dalhgren sadly passed away at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the age of 85. Rosie loved the Catholic faith and attended The Church of Good Shepherd Church of Newport Tennessee where she was a faithful servant of God. Rosie loved all animals especially her cats, Louie and Cody and Dusty, her adopted dog. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of her community in Dandridge, Tennessee and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary (Reever) Carney; sisters, Mary (Dodie) Howden, Emma Printz, Thelma Watson, Alice Starling and Nancy Carney. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Tom Dalhgren; her children, Sharon (Barry) Martindale of St. George , Tim Decot of New Lexington, Ernie (Marianne) Decot of Junction City, Greg (Mary) Decot of Somerset, Cathy (Jon) Wright of New Lexington, Doug (Pam) Decot of Junction City, Tracy (Kevin) Fields of New Lexington; her sisters, Rita (Don) Nace, Joanne Studer, Sue Delebria; her brother, Dick (Jeannie) Carney; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild on the way. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Todd Lehigh as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
