Ronald L. Emmert, 71, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Thornville, Ohio, passed away at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Fairfield Medical Center. Ron was born July 2, 1954, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Thomas Michael and Anna Marie (Mickey) Emmert. He had worked at Anchor Hocking and the Paper Mill. He is survived by one daughter, Wendy Emmert; one grandson, Jordan Garner; one granddaughter, Jaycie Garner; two sisters, Cecilia Emmert and Angela “Angel” Emmert; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Emmert and Paul (Sharon) Emmert; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl William “Bill” Emmert and Raymond Lee Emmert and one sister, Linda Jane Emmert. There will be a caring cremation at Ron’s request. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
