Ronald Cooperider Obituary

Ronald L. Cooperider, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. Ron was born in Zanesville, Ohio on November 12, 1967, to Merrill “Gene” and Janet (St. Clair) Cooperider. Ron and his father shared a passion for rebuilding and pulling tractors throughout his life. Ron was a volunteer firefighter and EMT for Hopewell Township Fire Department in Glenford. He was gifted with the ability to fix almost anything, which led to his successful career in multi-craft maintenance for over thirty years. Ron will always be remembered for his quiet manner, ornery grin, and selfless devotion to his family. He was his children’s biggest supporter. Ron coached, volunteered, and loved being at his children’s sporting events. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Michelle (Campbell) Cooperider; their children, Seth, Claire, and Jill; brothers, Greg (Luanne) Frizzell, Mark (Deborah) Frizzell; father-in-law, Richard Campbell; in-laws, Mark (Alison) Campbell, Dawn Ann (Sean) Lavey, Tracy (Ronal) Wright; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill “Gene” and Janet (St. Clair) Cooperider; mother-in-law, Shirley Campbell; and brother-in-law, Timothy Campbell. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Lancaster Vineyard Church, 431 Whiley Rd. SW, Lancaster, Ohio, and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024, at the church with Pastor Joel Seymour officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Education for Cooperider Kids at the Friendly Bremen Banking Center, (A member of the VCNB financial family), 119 West Main St., Bremen, Ohio 43107.
