Robert A. "Bob" Fox

Robert A. “Bob” Fox, 91, of Somerset, Ohio, passed away at 7:37 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at FairHoPe Hospice and Palliative Care. Bob was born February 27, 1930 in Fairfield County, the son of the late Clement A. and Theresa (Joos) Fox. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58 where he was a past commander and member of the firing squad, the Farm Bureau Council #5, and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bob was a dairy improvement supervisor for 38 years and had farmed most of his life. He is survived by his children, Theresa (Jeff) Brunn of Somerset, Anita (Jim) Whalen of Hebron, Edward Fox of Somerset, Kay Fox of New Lexington, Don (Robin) Fox of Chillicothe and Jennifer (Tatum) Dennis of Thornville, a daughter-in-law, Nancy Fox of Thornville; grandchildren, Jessica, Jordan, Karie, Jimmy, Sarah, Luke, Erica and Riley; great-grandchildren, Landen, Laynie, Logan, Lincoln, Connor, Evan, Regan, Andrew, Annie, Lola and Finlea; two brothers, Joe and Sue Fox of Lancaster and Raymond Fox of Cleveland; three sisters, Esther and David Strohmeyer of Lancaster, Margaret and Ron Wolfinger of Lancaster and Theresa and Albert Jeuhnwicz of Columbus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Anita C. Fox (2005); a son, Dan Fox (2020); a sister, Mary Louise Hyme; and a brother, Frank Fox. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Stephen Carmody as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lancaster, Ohio where graveside military honors will be provided by Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58.
