Rita Kay Drumm, 67, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 4, 2025, at her residence. Rita was born August 26, 1957, in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ralph E. and Betty Jane (Steen) Drumm. Rita was a 1975 graduate of Sheridan High School. She loved her Quarter Horse, Comanche, which she showed and rode in barrel racing, winning many trophies. Rita was an avid bowler, winning many tournaments and was also a member of the Buckeye 600 Bowling Club. She was the Number #1 Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to play bingo on Tuesday nights at the Lancaster Soap Box Derby Bingo. She is survived by two sisters, Nancy Cox and Donna (Bill) McCord, both of New Lexington; nieces and nephews, Phillip (Sherry) Cox, Tricia Atherton, Mindy (Brian Murphy) Toner, Travis (Danielle) Cox, Danny Tittle, Jr., Heather (Ron) Burgess, Jennifer Moore and Derrick (Robin) Ellis; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Sue Drumm, and a nephew, Scott Cox. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset with prayers at 4:00 p.m. A private burial will be held in Somerset Cemetery.
