It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Richard “Dick” Evans on June 25, 2022, at his home on the family farm. Dick was born in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on March 27, 1947, to the late Richard Paul and Esther Velee Evans. He was a Vietnam era Army veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and the Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58. Dick retired from Rose Chemical Products after 47 years as a sales rep. He was a farmer and a self-employed business owner of Kleenway Ent. He was a member of the River Valley Life Center where he taught Bible classes, preached, and was dearly loved by everyone. His fellowship time included home groups and marriage counseling hosted at the farm. Dick not only embraced life, but exemplified what made him such a great man, husband, dad and papaw along with a friend to many. He loved everyone and never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors, especially working in the woods. He loved his vacations no matter where the destination as long as it was by the ocean. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Jeannette; his children, Kim, Adam, and baby girl Nicci; grandchildren, Ryan (Allie) Adkins, Noah (Paige) Adkins, Jonah Adkins, Kya Evans and Jeff, Jessica, Wayne and Katelynn Adkins; great grandsons, Ray and Grayson Adkins. Dick always did everything with a joyful, loving heart and our loss is overwhelming. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022, with a celebration of life to follow with Pastor Paul Bishop officiating at the River Valley Life Center, 2190 Coonpath Rd. NW, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Somerset American Legion Post 58 will provide military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the River Valley Life Center in Dick’s memory. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements. www.bopethomasfuneralhome.com
