Phyllis Jean (Lunning) Fulk

Phyllis Jean (Lunning) Fulk, 77, of Somerset, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Genesis ER in Somerset. Phyllis was born July 17, 1944 in Corning, Ohio, the daughter of the late James A. and Louise A. Lunning. She had been a caregiver all her life at home and 16 years for Partners and Sech-Kar. She had been an independent Avon Representative for 45 plus years. She never gave up on anyone and was nicknamed “The family tree trunk - she is the trunk, we are the branches”, she has always held us up. She never lost faith in anyone. She saved her sister from a house fire, going back in to get her at 9 years old. She loved all her family. Phyllis is survived by one son, James Walter Fulk; one daughter, Catherine “Cathy” Jean Fulk; grandchildren, Rachael Jean, Allison Louise, and Dylan Jacob; seven great-grandchildren, Makayla, Arion, Ashley, Xavier, Wyatt, Warren and Legaciey; three sisters, Jeanette (Ron) Penrod, Peggy (Gene) Dawson, and Kay (Rich) West; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Walter Fulk; a daughter, Susan Kay Fulk Lyons; and a sister, Patricia Ann Lunning; a brother, Robert E. Lunning; and a granddaughter Lindsey Marie; Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, 2021 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where Rosary will be held at 6:45 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev.
