Phillip Eugene “Phil” Perry, 62, of Columbus, passed away at 4:02 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023, at OSU Medical Center. Phil was born September 3, 1961, in Marion, Ohio, the son of Eugene R. and Anna Lee (Garey) Perry of Columbus. He was a 1980 graduate of Centennial High School in Columbus. Phil was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He loved to tinker with lots of things and was known to have a green thumb. He was the owner/operator of P.E. Perry Construction. He is survived in addition to his parents by one sister, Renae Tufford of Florida; a beloved niece, Samantha Tufford of Florida; one aunt, Gladys Hanson of Knoxville, TN; two uncles, Paul (Marnette) Perry of Naples, Florida, and Jerry Lee (Kathleen) Garey of Rocky River, Ohio; his faithful dog, Gunter; and many cousins and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 7, 2023, at the Atonement Lutheran Church, 1621 Francisco Road Columbus, Ohio, 43220 with Rev. Richard Schneider officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Highland Cemetery, State Route 757 Glenford, Ohio 43739.
