Paul Stanley Strohl, 71, of Junction City, passed away at 7:20 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at FairHope Hospice/Pickering House surrounded by his family. Paul was born May 21, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Cyril P. and Marjorie (Mitchell) Strohl. He was a lifelong outdoorsman and had a passion for hunting and fishing for everything, saying that one of the best times of his life was traveling to hunt in Durango. He loved passing on his hunting knowledge, safe gun handling, precise care, and utmost respect for guns, (his are pristine). Paul loved riding horses and being involved with 4-H with Erika and loved traveling to watch Miranda play ball. Paul’s grandkids were everything to him and he loved telling them his many tales of the legend of the “Mount Perry Pythons” and their many achievements. Paul started working for Ronnie King on his farm as a teenager, then the oil fields, and retired from Dow Chemical in Hebron. He is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Jamie L. Strohl; daughter, Nicole (Shawn) Ward; granddaughters, Erika (Tyler) Pargeon and Miranda (Danny Ronan) Ward; great-grandkids, William, Lizbeth and Kelly; brother, Tom Strohl; sister, Karen Whitehead; and his best friend and adopted son, Nate Wells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Fred Strohl. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024, from 2-5 p.m. at the Junction City American Legion Post 376, 110 S. Logan St., Junction City, Ohio 43748.
