Patricia Snider Obituary

Patricia Ann “Pat” Snider, 83, of New Lexington, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 30, 1942, in New Lexington to the late Thomas Jefferson and Mary Thelma (Harris) Tracey, Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith touched countless lives. Pat’s love for music and the church began early. At just 14 years old, she became a church organist, faithfully sharing her musical gifts for many years. Her playing brought comfort, joy, and reverence to her parish community, reflecting the deep faith that guided her throughout her life. A passionate and lifelong learner, Pat earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ohio University. She dedicated her career to education as a teacher at New Lexington Middle School, where she inspired generations of students with her patience, creativity, and belief in their potential. Her exceptional commitment to teaching was honored in 2018, when she was inducted into the New Lexington Teacher Hall of Fame. A devoted member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Pat lived her faith through prayer, service and compassion. She was a quiet but steady presence of love and encouragement to all who knew her. Pat is survived by her husband Jim; her children, Lisa (Joe) Fulk, Mark (Christy) Snider, and Suzanne (Donna Baladad) Snider; her grandchildren, Ben (Courtny) Fulk, Andrew (Tristan Krouskoupf) Fulk, Haley (James) Montgomery, Baltazar Baladad-Snider; and the wife of her late grandson Joseph, Helen Fulk; and her great-grandchildren, Owen Fulk, Oliver Fulk, Henry Fulk, Weston Fulk, Vivien Fulk, Karter Fulk, Connor Green, and Blaine Montgomery. She is also survived by her brothers, Tom Tracey, Jim Tracey, and David Tracey, and her sisters, Mary Moore and Cecilia Tracey. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her grandson, Joseph Fulk. Friends may call from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset.
