Patricia A. (Waite) McGrath

Patricia A. (Waite) McGrath, 83, of Somerset, Ohio went home to be with her dear Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. after courageously facing a lengthy battle with dementia and cancer. She passed away in her home in the loving arms of family. Pat was born February 22, 1938, in Harrisburg County, PA to the late Ralph M. Sr. and Sarah J. (Wilkes) Waite. She was married to the late James W. McGrath for 46 loving years. She was a member of the Somerset United Methodist Church. Pat retired from Hamilton Standard Controls in 1990. She greatly loved her family, and her light will shine forever brightly in our hearts. She is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Dave) Conn of Thornville, Deanna (Jim) Wilson and Denette (Mike Joseph) Layne, both of Somerset; one son, James (Allayne) McGrath of Somerset; nine grandchildren, David (Charity) Conn, Michelle Wilson, Angel (Chad) Seurkamp, Jeff (Ashley) Bookman, Lynette (Joe) Misuraca, Josh (Marissa) Layne, Jereme (Tara) Layne, Austin McGrath, Jourdan McGrath; 26 great grandchildren; and her extended family and friends. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, James W. McGrath; daughter, Donna McGrath; great grandson, Anen “AJ” Layne; and her brothers, Ralph Waite Jr., Edward Waite, and Richard (Dickie) Waite. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021 with the Rev.
