Monna L. (Allen) Shrider

Monna L. Shrider, 81, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. Monna was born September 26, 1939 in Knox County. She was one of eight children born to the late Clay and Alta (Moran) Allen. She was a 1957 graduate of Bladensburg High School. She worked in the Northern Local Treasurers Office for 25 years. After retirement, Monna enjoyed traveling. She took many trips, her favorites were to Italy, Greece, and Alaska. Monna also enjoyed crafting, sewing, and making quilts. Monna is survived by her husband of 60 years, Paul “Skeeter” Shrider; daughters, Torie (Chuck) Underwood and Traci (Roger) Dupler; grandchildren, Haley (Justin) Retherford, Chelsey Dupler, Reece Dupler, Anne Underwood; and great-grandson, Luke Retherford; her sister, Leah Schumacher; and sister-in-law, Louise Allen of Florida. The family extends their gratitude to her caregivers, Beth Green, Jess Metzger and Becky Reeves. A private burial will take place in Highland Cemetery in Glenford, Ohio.
