Misty Dawn Wilkins, 45, of Ripley, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at her residence. Misty was born on September 28, 1979, in Zanesville, Ohio, to Greg (Jamie) Wilkins and Debra Lacy (Kim) Everhart. She was a 1998 graduate of Lancaster High School and attended college at Hocking College and Ohio State University, Newark. She earned a degree in the dietetic field as a dietician. Misty’s great passion in life was her love for all animals. She is survived in addition to her parents, by her brother, Dustin Wilkins (Katie); stepsister, Lindy Hedges Wright (Kyle); children, Maddie Steiner, Bella Young, and Kane Knecht; grandmother, Paula Wilkins; nephew, Huxley Wilkins; uncles and aunts, Rod and Cindy Wilkins and Rick and Christy Lacy; cousins, Ryan (Anne Marie) Wilkins and Emmett, Patrick (Amanda) Wilkins, Morgan Lacy Clemons (Brandon) and Tyler Lacy (Brittany). She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, William Wilkins and her maternal grandparents, Richard and Martha Lacy. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Mt. Perry Presbyterian Church, 13099 Church St., Mt. Perry, Ohio with Richard Wilkins officiating. Burial of cremains will follow in Mt. Perry Cemetery. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
