Mildred A. “Millie” Shephard, 73, of Somerset, formerly of Thornville, gained her wings at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Altercare Nursing Home of Somerset. Millie was born August 25, 1949, in Lancaster, Ohio to the late Richard and Dorothy (Pawley) Shephard. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and had worked for several years at Perco. She loved watching The Ohio State Buckeyes Football and NASCAR. She is survived by her brothers, Rick (Mary) Shephard of Thornville and David (Kristi) Shephard of Wapakoneta; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and took care of her. A special thank-you to all the caregivers at Altercare of Somerset. No calling hours will be observed. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
