Mildred Pauline Coleman, 93, of Thornville, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Clay Gardens in Zanesville, Ohio. Mildred was born March 21, 1932, near Somerset, Ohio, the daughter of the late William Bryan and Angie Mae (Gilmore) King. Mildred worked for the Northern Local School District for 20 years. She was a member of Maranatha Bible Church in Glenford where she taught Sunday School for many years and later attended Maranatha Bible Church in Zanesville. She was a hardworking and loving woman. She loved crocheting and knitting and was a farmer and avid gardener, helping her husband every step of the way. She is survived by several nieces and nephews who referred to her as their second mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles R. Coleman, and a sister, Frances Hall. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Ridge Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Maranatha Bible Church, 2400 Chandlersville Rd., Zanesville, Ohio.
