Michele Louise Leohner, age 58, passed away on May 29, 2025.  Originally from Lancaster, Ohio.  Michele made a significant impact as both an athlete and a lively spirit.  A proud graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1985, she excelled as a basketball player, earning accolades such as High School All American and First Team All-Ohio. Her remarkable talent led her to U.S. International University, where she continued to showcase her passion and determination for the game.

In her later years, Michele discovered happiness under the sun and by the beaches of Florida.  She had an unwavering love for Ohio State, a distinct sense of style and a vibrant energy that drew people in. Michele braced life to the fullest-dancing, sharing drinks with family and friends, and creating unforgettable memories.  She preferred to be called Michele rather than Mom at the bar, maintaining her youthful spirit and individuality.

Michele is survived by her sons, Joshua and Brandon, as well as her grandson, Brandon Jr.  While her relationships were intricate, there is no doubt she made a lasting impact on those around her and shaped her family in both loud and enduring ways.

She will be remembered for her confidence, style, sharp wit, and her remarkable ability to stand out.  Michele lived life on her own terms, and those who knew her will cherish the spark she brought into every room.

A private celebration of Michele’s life will be held for family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Michele by wearing your favorite Buckeye gear, enjoying a beach sunset, or turning up the music and dancing as if no one is watching-just the way she would have loved.
