Michael “Mike” E. Bever, 71, of Somerset, passed away at 9:37 a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Genesis Medical Center in Zanesville with his wife by his side. Mike was born June 6, 1952, in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of the late Gene and Bonnie Bever. He was a 1971 graduate of Sheridan High School and retired after 32 years from Central Silica. Mike loved farming, tractor pulling, and his 1972 Chevelle. He was a Somerset/Reading Twp. Fireman for approximately 10 years and later became an Honorary Fireman. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, whom he married March 16, 1984, Susan (Fisher) Bever; one daughter, Tiffany (Brian) Niggemyer of Zanesville; one son, Frank M. Bever of Somerset; five grandchildren, Owen and Macy Niggemyer, Bridget, Brenna and Brailey Bever; and one sister, Sharon (Paul) Emmert of Thornville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Brayden Bever (2013). Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2024, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset.
