Michael Antony Nienhaus 35 of Mount Perry, Ohio died unexpectedly at OSU Wexner Medical Center. He was born on September 29, 1989 to Anthony and Lori Nienhaus.

Michael was a graduate of Sheridan High School Class of 2008.  He was a heart transplant recipient around age 8 and would go 27 years with his new heart until it was time to receive another heart transplant and just wanted to enjoy life with his family and friends.

He was an operator technician for Covestro. He loved to hunt, fish, mushroom hunt and anything outdoors. 

Michael is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kelsey; children, Halle Nienhaus, Hyatt Nienhaus and Hance Nienhaus all of the home; parents, Tony and Lori Nienhaus of Glenford; brother, Chris (Emma) Nienhaus of Ashland, Kentucky; sisters, Jenny (Brandon) Gray of Thornville and Jill (Trent) Pfeifer of Glenford; grandmother, Janet Burdette of Newark; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Lisa Lentz of Somerset; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Amy and Kyle Lentz, Kaylee Lentz all of Somerset and Karsyn and Clayton Radabaugh of Newark; and nine nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his grandpa Bill.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the Somerset Leo Ryan Post #58.  Caring Cremation® has taken place by the Bope-Thomas Funeral home, Somerset, Ohio.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the family.
