Michael William Curry, 70, of Pataskala, passed away at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Mike was born April 1, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Donald William and Myrtle Marie (Nunley) Curry. He was a 1971 graduate of Sheridan High School and Muskingum Area Vocational School where he studied to become a machinist. Mike worked for Worthington Industries for many years and Superior Die Tool. He retired from Dabar Industries, LLC. Mike married Carol Lee Stonerock on May 30, 1993. Mike was a 20 plus year member of Baltimore Lodge 475 F&AM of Ohio and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason from the Valley of Columbus AASR-NMJ. He was also a member of the Buckeye Lake Loyal Order of Moose 2434. He is survived by his brothers, Donald (Karen) Curry and Danny (Amber) Curry; nieces and nephews, Danny, Donald, Danielle, Timothy, Tabitha, and Teresa; grand nieces and nephews, Tanner, Everett and Carmelle, Hunter and Raelyn; a stepsister, Mary (John) Patterson; stepbrother, Bob Henery; a special niece, Pamela and Earl Williams who looked after Mike. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Mary Ann (Jones) Curry; his wife, Carol, who passed away on October 1, 2023; stepbrothers, Jack and Bill Henery; and their loved fur babies, Shu-Shu, Mea, Lucky, and Beau. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at the Somerset Community Church, 139 E. Main St., Somerset, Ohio where Masonic services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
