Maxine Marie Snider, 86, of Glenford, Ohio, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Grant Medical Center after a fall at her residence. Maxine was born November 20, 1934, in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Edna (Azbell) Hutchinson. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford. Maxine was a race car driver for 14 years at various racetracks in Ohio and other states. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Cecil D. Snider of Glenford; one daughter, Julie (John) Roberts of Heath; two grandsons, Michael (Tracy) Tom and Anson (Jennifer) Tom; two step-grandchildren; four sisters, Shelby Hieatt of Baltimore, Ohio, Bonnie Freed of Georgia, Carolyn Claffey of Alabama and Eleanor Wallace of Lancaster. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Snider and two sisters, Rozella Martin and Margaret Hill. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset and one hour prior to the service at the church. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Glenford with Pastor Paul Hansen officiating.
