Mary Alice Wilson, 88, of Somerset, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House in Zanesville. Mary was born June 3, 1937, to the late Paul and Etta Clemson. Mary was a devoted housewife to her husband Dale and took care of their children and many foster children and grandchildren over the years. She held strong Christian faith as a Baptist. Mary and Dale were directors of Children’s Services for many years. Mary loved taking care of all children and loved them unconditionally. She enjoyed fishing, camping, sewing, road trips to Amish Country and so much more throughout her life. She had so many talents and hobbies which she shared her love for with others and taught them along the way. Mary is survived by her two sons, John (Shirley) Wilson and Sam Wilson, both of Somerset; a daughter, Tammy (Wilson) Patterson; foster children, Daryl, Linda, Carolyn, and Maggie; grandchildren, John Jr. (Krystal), Hannah, Sarah, and Jacob Wilson, and Melissa, Matthew and Joey; five great-grandchildren, Gracie, Ellie, Shelby, Emma and Jackson; two sisters-in-law, Pam and Beverly; and a cousin, Fred Fuchs of Wisconsin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Dale Wilson, and a brother, Joseph Clemson. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Somerset Community Church, 139 E. Main St., Somerset, Ohio with Pastor Robert Shaw officiating.
