Marykay Underwood, age 63, of Somerset, Ohio passed away on Sunday January 21, 2024. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on November 26, 1960. Marykay loved her friends and family very much. She enjoyed getting together with friends and family to have a beer, listen to some music, and catch up on their lives. She was a mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and great aunt. She was known as “Grammy K” to her one grandson whom she cherished very much. She worked most of her life for the family business, Underwood’s Hardware in Somerset. She loved attending Rush concerts when they came to town, gardening, unicorns, and just sitting down to watch her favorite sitcoms like Cheers, Frasier, and Seinfeld. She was always wearing bright colors and always had a tan from spending time in the sun or from her personal tanning bed. She also enjoyed cooking and always would have a new recipe for everyone to try. Marykay is survived by sons Zack Lentz and Dakota Dupler, grandson, Kalin Lentz, brother, Charles (Torie) Underwood, and nieces Haley Underwood and Anne Martindale. She is preceded in death by her father, David J. Underwood and mother, Karol (Glover) Caulk. Arrangements are being handled by the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home, Somerset, OH.
