Mary M. Swinehart, 76, of Somerset, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Fairfield Medical Center.
Mary was born August 5, 1944 in Somerset, Ohio, the daughter of the late C. Edward and Eileen F. (Miller) Snider. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic High School and was Catholic by faith, attending both Holy Trinity and St. Joseph Catholic Churches. Mary worked at McGaughey’s Dairy Freeze, Glenford Elementary School, Bob Evans, and several nursing facilities. She enjoyed watching her husband and sons pulling their truck “Tinker Toy”.
She is survived by one son, David Swinehart of Somerset; four brothers, Jim (Pat) Snider, Bill (Becky) Snider, Jack (Marsha) Snider, and Vince Snider, all of New Lexington; one sister, Patty Vernon of Gallipolis; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry “Butch” Swinehart; one son, John Swinehart (2021); and a sister, Liz Kennedy.
Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021 at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 16, 2021 in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
