Marilyn Jane Blackburn, 84, of Somerset, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Marilyn was born February 17, 1941, in Huntington, West Virginia. She was just a simple country girl growing up, always helping her neighbors when they needed help. She grew up and had kids, and her whole life changed-to giving them all of her unconditional love and not wanting anything for herself. Her kids were her life. She leaves behind her loving husband, Charles Blackburn, whom she shared 55 years with; her two sons, Charles Blackburn Jr. and Eric Scott Blackburn; her daughters-in-law, Martha Blackburn and Sandy Blackburn; her grandkids, Charlene (Josh), Charles (Meisha), Eric (Audrie), Shyann, Daniel (Daylin), Laila; her great-grandkids, Levi, Johnny, Isabella, and Dalilah, who will all remember and miss this special woman that brought so much joy to this family. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025. Burial will follow in New Lexington Cemetery.
