Mabel Augusta Wagner

Mabel Augusta Wagner, 92, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Altercare of Somerset. Mabel was born August 2, 1930 to Charles S. “Sylvie” and Marcella (Emmert) Wagner in Somerset. Mabel was an active lifetime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She attended and graduated from Holy Trinity School in 1948. During her adult life she had worked at the Rosary Press and cooked at a local convent. Her long-term employment was with the Department of Defense Supply Center in Columbus from which she retired. In her retirement she volunteered part-time at Holy Trinity School for 16 years and attended daily mass. Mabel was a member of the Somerset American Legion Auxiliary Post 58 for many years, honoring her father, brother and others who served in the military. She was also a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Mabel is survived by her sister, Mary Wagner, also of Somerset. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only brother, Martin Wagner in 2014. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Somerset with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. Internment will follow in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery.
