Lois L. Young, 81, of Altercare of Zanesville, formerly of Mount Perry, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, July 10, 2022. Lois was born March 7, 1941, in Marysville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond Robert and Alice Maxine Burkepile Burlile. She was a member of Mount Perry Presbyterian Church, Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District, National Farm Organization (NFO) and the Sweet Adelines. She played piano, hammer dulcimer, lap dulcimer and auto harp. She had a love for quilting, crafts, playing cards and camping. Lois is survived by four daughters, Sherry Kreider of Newark, Cindy (Steve) Burkhart of Norwich, Tina (Greg) Jungling of Newark and Tracey (Anthony) Baker of Newark; 16 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one step great-grandson; one sister, Judy Price of Prospect, Ohio; a niece, Rebecca Price and a nephew, Robert (Ella) Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar W. Young, Jr.; two sons, Andy and Kevin Young; a son-in-law, Richard Kreider; one grandson and one great-grandson. Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Mount Perry Presbyterian Church, 13099 Church St., Mount Perry, Ohio, where services will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Carpenter officiating.
