Lois A. Grimm, 85, of Newark, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Chapel Grove Assistant Living in Heath. Lois was born July 8, 1938, in Somerset, Ohio, the daughter of the late Bob and Louise (Stalter) Grimm. She was a graduate of Holy Trinity School. She worked for 50 years at Licking Memorial Hospital as an STNA and after retiring she volunteered at the hospital for many more years. Lois attended St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. She is survived by her sister, Mary Rose Smith, her sister-in-law, Cindy Grimm, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Grimm and brother-in-law, Kenny Smith. At her request, there will be a caring cremation and she will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery with Father Andre' Joseph LaCasse, O.P. officiating. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
