Lauretta Mae (Hoover) Randolph, 88, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at Altercare of Thornville. Lauretta was born March 31, 1937, in New Lexington, Ohio, the daughter of the late Orville John and Helen Irene (Shilling) Hoover. She was a homemaker, and had previously worked at Rayovac in Lancaster, Ohio and Perry County Cheese in Mount Perry, Ohio. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, cooking, and bus trips with friends. She was known for her sense of humor and loved to laugh. Lauretta was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Glenford, Ohio. She is survived by two daughters, Launetta K. Norris of Zanesville and Larindia J. (Larry) Moore of Glenford; one son, Phillip E. (Rebecca) Randolph of Thornville; six grandchildren and four great granddaughters; one brother, Dwight (Kay) Hoover; two stepbrothers, Larry and Jim Klingler; aunts, nieces, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry C. Randolph, whom she married February 23, 1957; a son, Perry C. Randolph, Jr; four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2025, and one hour prior to the service, which will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset with the Rev. Karen Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Community Gardens.
