Larry Osbert Cunningham, 76, of Heath, Ohio, passed from this life at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior. He passed away at home surrounded by family. Larry was born June 12, 1948, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Osbert and Verna (Rowan) Cunningham. He was a 1967 graduate of Sheridan High School, served in the U.S. Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Somerset American Legion Leo Ryan Post 58, and various other organizations. Larry enjoyed being a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed being outside, fishing, hunting, and being on a tractor working. He is survived by his three children, Terry Cunningham, Vickie (Darrick) Thomas, and Jerry (Farrah) Cunningham; seven grandchildren, Peyton (Ronnie) Cramer, Courtney (Brandon) Smith, Ethan Cunningham, Taylor Cunningham, Hailey Thomas, Noah Cunningham, and Zane Cunningham; two great-grandchildren, Riley Smith and Carmen Smith; his siblings, Joseph Cunningham, Winona Stiltner, Julie Wardeska, Wanda (Lew) Barns, Retha (Lee) Sheppard, Preston (Pamela) Cunningham, Janet (Roger) Wiseman, and Timothy (Cindy) Cunningham; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Gregg Wiseman; two brothers-in-law, Allen Wardeska and Laudie Stiltner; and one sister-in-law, Joyce Cunningham. The family would like to thank Capital City Hospice and Seniors Helping Seniors for the care they gave to Larry. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home 203 S. Columbus St., Somerset, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024, with Chad Wolfe, friend of the family, officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Perry Cemetery.
