Judith “Judy” Alban, 86, of Somerset, went home to the Lord on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 11:20 p.m., comfortably in the home. Judy was born on December 24, 1934, to the late Oliver and Mattie Matson. She was well known from her years of waitressing and tending bar in different establishments of Somerset. After retirement, she went on to be a caregiver for her neighbor and a special friend, Tom Spohn. Judy leaves behind her beloved children, Debbie Cooperider, Brent Barker, and Ed (Sherry) Barker of Somerset, Julia Barker Keller, Daughter-in- law, Chrissy, of Zanesville, Dianne (Lowell) Yantes of Alexandria and Sally (Mike) Moomaw of Philo. She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Bruce and Curtis Barker; siblings, Daniel, George, Vonda “Peg” and Macyl; her late husband(s); and son-in-law, Rick Cooperider. We would like to give a special thank you to Shrivers Hospice for their services. At this time no services will be held.
