Jonathon D. "John" Hankinson

Jonathon D. “John” Hankinson, 52, of Somerset, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025. John was born September 24, 1973, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Robert “Bob” Hankinson, Jr. and the late Beverly (Wilson) Hankinson. John was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He grew up in Somerset, Ohio, where he graduated from Sheridan High School. He later attended Columbus College of Art & Design and went on to earn his Class A CDL. John was an artist, an avid hunter, and a lover of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, who brought him great joy. He is survived in addition to his father, by his daughter, Alexis (Hankinson) Theisen and her husband, Jordan Theisen; three granddaughters, Alana, Aria, and Ahraya Theisen; his siblings, Angela (Troy) Schooley, Tammy Bates, Deanna (Scott Packer) Anderson, and Jeremy Hankinson; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death in addition to his mother, by his daughter, Destiny Hankinson; his brother-in-law, Bruce Bates; and other loved ones who passed before him.
