Jeannette D. Evans, 75, of Rushville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday morning, April 29, 2025, at FairHope Hospice and Palliative Care, from this life to her eternal life. Jeannette was born March 9, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, the daughter of the late James H. and Dorothy J. (Leckrone) Snider. Her first love was her beloved late husband, Richard B. “Dick” Evans, the love of her life, and then of course her three beautiful children, Kim (Mark) Adkins of Lancaster, Ohio, Adam Evans of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Nicole Evans of Canal Winchester, Ohio; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who, anyone who knew her knows she adored and were the topic of every conversation; 16 grandchildren, Ryan (Allison) Adkins, Noah (Paige) Adkins, Jonah Adkins, Kya (Scott) Huston, Jeff, Jessica, Wayne, Katelynn, Logan, Legend, Turk, Skinny, Lauren, Lux and Lola Adkins; four great-grandchildren, Ray, Grayson and Penelope Adkins, and Liam Huston; one sister, Paulette (Bill) Crane; and nieces, Traci, Tori and Tara. She was preceded in death in addition to her parents, by her husband, Richard B. “Dick” Evans. Jeannette was a very active member of The River Valley Life Center, where she led the Greeting Team until her very last days. She was also an active leader of the small group that she and her husband Dick started many years ago. She loved her small group and church family. Jeannette’s main goal in life was to be a good wife, mom and homemaker. She loved decorating “The Evan’s Farmhouse” for any holiday, and shopping, even if it was just window shopping. She cherished the joys of her friendships and her immeasurable love for family gatherings. Jeannette will be sorely missed by all her family and friends, but we all plan to see her again one day in our Heavenly home. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at The River Valley Life Center, 2190 Coonpath Rd. NW, Lancaster, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m. There will be a meal following the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the River Valley Life Center. Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset is entrusted with the arrangements.
