Jackson Davis Vanest, 16, of Somerset, Ohio, was granted his angel wings on Friday, October 8, 2021. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Jackson had touched in so many ways throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
Jackson’s life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His teddy bear heart, gentle smile and old soul brought so much joy to our family and friends.
Jackson was born on December 2, 2004, in Newark, Ohio the son of Jeffrey D. and Mary J. (Hughes) Vanest of Somerset. He attended Sheridan High School in Thornville, Ohio. He loved to play football and baseball and gave basketball a try for a couple of years. He also loved hunting, fishing, and music.
He is survived, in addition to his parents, by two brothers, Peyton and Carter.
Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Sheridan Middle School, 8660 Sheridan Dr., Thornville, Ohio.
