Ila Jane (Love) Koehler

Ila Jane Koehler, 86, of Somerset, passed away at 4:14 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at her residence. Ila was born May 28, 1934 in Thornville, Ohio, the daughter of the late J. Lawrence and Laura B. George Love. She was a 1952 graduate of Somerset High School and a member of Olivet Church of the Brethren, Perry County Farm Bureau, and Robert Young Mothers’ Club. She was a loving homemaker. Ila is survived by two daughters, Anita (Larry) Gessel of McConnelsville and Ann (Dave) Wolfe of Baltimore; two sons, Richard (Cheri) Koehler of Thornville and Dane (Betsy) Koehler of Thornville; eight granddaughters; one grandson; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald R. Koehler; one brother, Ralph Love; and one sister, Alice Baughman. A private family service will be held at a later date with Pastor Daniel Fullen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O.
