Helen Eileen (Wilson) Griffith

Helen Eileen (Wilson) Griffith, 86, of Thornville, Ohio, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Altercare of Somerset. Helen was born October 9, 1935, in Thornville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Randolph and Edna Leckrone Wilson. She was a bus driver for Northern Local School District for 45 years, retiring in 2014. She was a lifetime member and organist for many years of the Olivet Church of the Brethren, Thornville (Ziontown) Ohio. Helen is survived by two daughters, Dixie (David) Scheidegger of Baltimore, Ohio and Darlene (Rob) Oney of Malta, Ohio; a son, Rickey S. Griffith of Malta, Ohio; four grandchildren, Dustin, Joshua, Crystal and Keith Scheidegger; and a brother, Arthur E. (Mary) Wilson of Thornville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jesse Griffith and a brother, Walter Wilson. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2022, in Olivet Cemetery with Pastor Daniel Fullen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
