George P. Scallan

George P. Scallan, 90, of Columbus, formerly of New Lexington, Ohio, died Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Columbus. George was born July 5, 1928 in Somerset, Ohio the son of the late Bertrand P. and Kathleen Scanlon Scallan. He was a 1946 graduate of New Lexington High School; a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Bexley American Legion Post 430. He retired from W.W. Williams Company after 36 years of service. George is survived by many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister, Mary Cannon. A caring cremation was Georges’ request. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 5, 2019 in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery with Father Stephen Carmody officiating.
