Gary A. Studer, 58, of Somerset, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Fairhope Hospice & Palliative Care Pickering House. Gary was born August 9, 1967, in Zanesville, Ohio, the son of Dorothy Joann (Carney) Studer of Somerset and the late Gerald D. Studer. Gary loved his movies and his stuffed animals, especially “Kitty”. He loved reminding mother each month whose birthdays were coming up, and he never forgot a date. He loved Jesus and said his prayers every night. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived in addition to his mother, by his brothers, Edward (Deb) Studer and John Studer; sister, Mary (Jerry Weaver) O’Brien; several nieces, nephews and aunts. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick A. Studer; and his nephew, John Patrick Studer. Friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Bope-Thomas Funeral Home in Somerset. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Andre’ Joseph LaCasse, O.P. as celebrant.
